Pretty sure it's cole playing his account. He's like two weeks rusty and has all these new builds out of nowhere?
he played 100% different like another player.

Lol just like I was Cole when I played on kingslayer. Everyone called me him too when I played on that account. I know you think you’re a top three player because you finished the season there but you’re not. Yeah I’m still rusty but not rusty enough to lose to you. Those games weren’t flawless by any means.

Regardless of how you performed on kingslayer, what I noticed was the games vs buu was nearly identical to how cole plays and completely opposite of your style. Regardless, this is only speculation and I'm not sure can be completely proven

Just go to watching the replays. The difference in level between the Set Kon played vs Bungee and this Set vs Buu is significant. These games also have Kon playing a way different style on all three races.
I've had multiple people watch the replays, people familiar with both Kon and Cole's play from personal experience and they have all said it's more likely to be Cole or that they 100% believe it was Cole. I will get a couple more second opinions and feedback from Islanti before I make my call.
To give people a quick heads up. If the final results support the accusation I will disqualify Kon and reverse the results. Pro]EviL- will then be reinstated into the tournament in Kon's place starting from Round 2A. Fire.Buu vs Pro]EviL- will then commence ASAP. But don't assume this outcome just yet.
I hereby also request Kon to provide evidence to disprove the accusation.

I had talked with Buu on Sunday and Monday to convince him to consider playing on the laptop with shitty internet. He said he'd try to for the sake of progressing the tournament. Buu has been online on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday(before and after a 700 mile drive home) and Wednesday. There are many people who can testify to support that. In a replay of Kon vs BungeeGum Kon makes the statement "I don't even have time for this, but the money is good/I want the money." While I can't determine how much truth there is to this claim, considering it came from Kon himself and the fact he has shown to be rather busy over the past 10 days, it is not out of the ordinary to assume that's indeed true. And then there is last week when we kindly requested Kon to adapt to the situation so he could play against EviL-. While I have a complete understanding of why he didn't show up or adapt during that time-frame, it does end up working against him right now. There is reason to assume Kon did not have the time to play before the deadline and there is reason to believe he asked someone else to play in his stead to avoid forfeiting. 2) It is possible given the situation that it can be true.
3) Because I can't determine the truth I am waiting for Sword and Islanti to provide evidence.

All of this comes because it was 4-0. If it was 4-2 there would be no post. Gus is choked because he lost 4-0 when he thinks he should’ve 4-0 me. Just because he thinks he’s better than he is, we take this into consideration? I’ve ran over Gus for years. Just look at every past season, it’s not even close. I know how he plays. I said it in my first reply, everyone called me Cole on kingslayer. I played differently on that account, it’s not hard. Huge difference with this set and bungee is I got on Sc right when I woke up. I was slow as hell and half asleep. I played Gus last night when I normally game. Much better shape to play. And again those games are not good enough to be Cole. I didn’t play overly crazy.
Also premier how do you I haven’t been trying to play for the last three days? I was on Monday night and he wasn’t there. I messaged him on forum Tuesday night saying I could get on now if he can. And I gave him three hours notice when I’d be able to get on. He responds at 10:30 saying he’s ready when I’m now going to bed. As you know I’m busy right now so I need to sleep. I messaged him last night saying I am free all evening. Took him a while to respond so I went out and came back.

How did I do tech switches?
GM1 was TvZ with a pretty standard push with a drop that did some damage. Nothing too crazy there and nothing I haven't done before.
GM2 was TvP where your mb failed bad. Only difference I did that game I would say is use wraith and not as many ghost. As with me being rusty I don't have the apm I would normally to lockdown with the ghosts. Wraith are easier to control.
GM3 was pretty much a standard PvZ lol mass and drops
GM4 pretty standard ZvT. Straight for guards

How did I do tech switches?
GM1 was TvZ with a pretty standard push with a drop that did some damage. Nothing too crazy there and nothing I haven't done before.
GM2 was TvP where your mb failed bad. Only difference I did that game I would say is use wraith and not as many ghost. As with me being rusty I don't have the apm I would normally to lockdown with the ghosts. Wraith are easier to control.
GM3 was pretty much a standard PvZ lol mass and drops
GM4 pretty standard ZvT. Straight for guards

I always three racks with terran. I've been playing around with two racks acad in hopes of a easy win with run by tvz, because I hate tvz long game in bw. If you actually watch my terran reps during the season you'll see I do both strats.
ZvT I always go guards, unless I'm mid spot I've been doing quick hydra mass. The zerg games I got vs Pedro I did a different strat every game lol.
PvZ I always mass and drops (who doesn't do that?).
TvP was standard except for wraith as I stated. I don't have the apm at the moment to use ghosts like I used to. Other then that it's a standard TvP game with bio and tanks.

Last year when I did the invitational tournament in Februari Cole at first did not want to participate unless I let him smurf into my tournament. I managed to get him to participate under his own name eventually but it took a while.

85~90+% sure the "Kon" playing against gus in the playoffs was a different person than Kon who laddered 1s this season. I don't know if Cole because I'm too lazy to dig up replays of him to check his apm/builds/hotkeys.

They're APMs are different; I checked about 10 T replays from Kon's 1s this season and his apm spam in the beginning is always around 300-400. But "Cole" 's 2 terran replays from the playoffs APM spam was half that at 150, and dropped off to 100 after he gets his refinery/marine pump. Meanwhile Kon's APM is always at least above 200, far after he gets marines and his first refinery.

They're build orders are different; I specifically studied their 3rax builds and their fast +1 nex build, (nex, 4 gates, nex) which I'll call the "Hydra[vck]" build.
They're "hydra" builds are different...
In that in at least 4 Kon replays from his 1s this season, his build order went:
7 pylon
10 nex
11 gateway x2 ->mine
13 gateway x2, pylon
15 2nd Nex, before pumping his 2 zealots.
While "Cole" 's hydra build went like this:
7 pylon
10 nex
12 gateway x4 ->scout
14 pylon
They're build placements for the first two gateways were different; in an attached photo Kon always places his 2 gateways in the middle, next to his first pylon. However "Cole" started his gateways from one side then built towards the other side.
That is only one game P build deviation, but the 3 rax build is more telling as there is a bigger sample size.
Kon's 3 rax build is:
7 supply -> 2nd rax (scv building first supply goes and makes 2nd rax)
8rax
11rax
12 supply
while "Cole" 's 3 rax is:
7 supply -> 2nd rax
8 rax -> scout
11 rax
12 supply
14 gas
The main deviation is Cole's first rax scv goes to scout after finished building, while Kon's makes his first refinery.
Also, Kon ALWAYS puts his first supply as part of his simcity near the gas, (the 2nd attached photo shows this). This is consistent even with his 2rax build. The ~15 Kon T replays I watched all do this.
Meanwhile, Cole's T BO consistently puts his first supply 2 tiles below the gas, along with his first barracks, which is a very sudden break away from his consistent habits. (3rd picture attached shows this)

By far the most incriminating evidence: They hotkey differently
Using BWChart, Kon's T ALWAYS hotkeys his CC 5,6,9,0 at the start of the game, along with an SCV on 1. His Rax are on hotkeys 2 and 3
Meanwhile, "Cole" hotkeyed his CC on 1, no scvs hotkeyed, and later his raxes on 123.
I could go more and analyze eapm/null/ect, but to me the 5690 CC hotkey at start puts a nail in the coffin. Whether it was Cole or not, they were different people and Kon should be DQd.

Thx Justin! I wanted to do the same with BWChart and analyze their hotkey setup, but I was too lazy to do it with more than 1 replay each, where I couldn't pinpoint these differences. Especially the different hotkey setup is a HUGE indication! Thsi was the way how people identified smurfs in the low money scene. So it is really reliable.
I mean these are all only circumstantial evidence, but these are coming in more and more and koN has yet to answer my question from page 6.

Justin has formed a compelling case against Kon. Changing hotkey habits and building placements is a HUGE change that you won't EVER SEE in games of importance. I will wait for Islanti's and Sword's information to verify the information there is right now. We will hold off on our final judgement until later today. I want the tournament to start progressing again and this case is preventing that at the moment. I'll do my best to take all accounts and bits of information into consideration.
And to Kon and Cole, if you two did cheat and confess to it judgement will be lenient. If you two keep denying and are found guilty judgement will be harsh. If you two are found NOT GUILTY nothing will happen. In that case you can think of it as a drug test in sports. I want to stress one more time however to take into consideration that there is justifiable cause for suspicion. It's got nothing to do with "hating". As the host of a tournament with a thousand dollars of prize money I am OBLIGATED to investigate.

All of this comes because it was 4-0. If it was 4-2 there would be no post. Gus is choked because he lost 4-0 when he thinks he should’ve 4-0 me. I'm still not taking the fall for this. But I've talked to Jacek and told him to do what he feels he has to do.
I think we have a cultural problem of animosity towards criminals or people who otherwise do what we don't expect or condone. Instead of understanding why this happens or how to effectively prevent it, we seem preoccupied with harsh punishment and justice at the expense of rehabilitation and understanding.
Clearly all need to happen to a degree, but so often we are preoccupied with the former to the detriment of the community/society at large.
My point is this:
If you did cheat, I think we would benefit from knowing why so we could try to prevent those circumstances from arising again.
If you did cheat, I don't think that makes you a bad person or deserving of permanent expulsion from our community. I think you are a great player and personality on this game.
If you did cheat, I hope you understand that this community is very small and fragile and requires that all of us treat it with dignity and respect so it can thrive. We all love playing this game and would like to continue to do so for many years I'm sure. It will be easier if we have a league that pulls people together instead of driving them apart. That's on us.
If you didn't cheat, I hope you still get to participate in this tournament and that Gus can accept his loss with grace.

Its true. I was convinced yesterday after carefully analyzing the replays and showed the evidence to one member of Xtre for a neutral perspective. They initially rejected the possibility of someone else playing on KoN's account but after seeing the evidence they were on the same page. We tried to get KoN to admit to it publicly to give him the option of coming clean, but clearly this didn't work out. KoN will be dropped from the tournament and suspended from SCW for the next season. FiRe.Buu will advance to face GanGster]Jose. and Resoud will advance to face Xtre-Mamba. This tournament needs to get moving.

I agree entirely with this. Bans are never good to the community, but neither is this kind of deception in a tournament, especially with money on the line, where people work hard to get to where they are and expect fair gameplay.

also hypothetically, if two people were super duper butt buddies and used a similar enough hotkey layout/builds/hotkey selection repetition, it would be virtually impossible to tell them apart if they lived close enough to each other to smurf on the same comp.
i don't even have anything against kon/cole, i don't know either of them. the only reason i looked into it was because it was scandalous and juicy, and i wanted a better understanding for myself to see if gus was salty or not. i just thought i'd share my findings and my thoughts on the situation

ToRpEdo, I like your stance on this. Innoncence until proven otherwise is a huge part of our modern civilization and standing behind this value is a sign of a good human being. Hence I am making this post probably just for you.
(I know this might be laughed about and people might think I am stupid or crazy for writing this stuff, I do not care... I care about being neutral and objective and handling this matter as an adult, unlike other people in this thread. So laugh all you want guys, I really dont care.)
This whole "case" (let us just treat it as a case in a court with LivE.SworD being the judge) relies on circumstantial evidence. The only other hard evidence that we might get are these:
- A confession of koN and Cole
- A lie detector test of either one of them
- A video tape where you can see Cole actually playing these games
Only the first possibilty is something we can hope for. The other hard evidence is not reasonable to ask for in an online enviroment, handling such a "small" matter (ye there is still 250 or 100 Dollar on the line, but lets be real, for any working guy, this money is not worth the trouble).
So we have to base our judgement on these circumstantial evidence.
Let's gather what we could acquire thus far:
- testimony of Buu as the "prosecutor"
- testimony of several high caliber players claiming that the playstyle in the set "koN vs Buu" was severly different, from what koN acutally likes to play (including EviL- and other guys, maybe Jace might fill up this list, since he was the guy that talked to the other people)
- a very suspicious question from "koN" in his series against Buu, asking if this set was a "Best of 5", while he already played a set against BungeeGum. This is completely opposite to any thing any one would ever do, as it has no sense to ask this question.
- an "expert" testimony by VvnJustin, who showed that Building Placement, Build Order, APM, Hotkey Setup and Hotkey Selection differs completely from koNs normal playstyle throughout the whole ladder stage
- Cole's "confession" in form of taunting Buu for his 0-4 loss
While pretty much all of these are very circumstantial and do not proove anything at all, I cannot stretch the value of VvnJustin's post enough.
The method he has used was used for several years in the low money map scene, where a guy called "roMAD" could identify any smurf from any korean or foreigner player, given enough replays. These hotkey setup traits and specific Building Placement stuff is as specific to anyone as possible. Following the analogy of this being a "case", we could see this evidence as a "finger print". These features of players are so unique that having two players with the same hotkey setup, hotkey selection and building placement has a probablity of 0.01% (estimated guess of course, would need to ask roMAD since he worked with it for years, but as far as I recall, he had at least 99% accuracy if not more). So I would handle this not as circumstantial evidence but as hard and solid evidence after all. And judging by the few interactions I have had with VvnJustin, I am quite sure, he is one of the most reliable and honest people in this scene.
So even if you still think hotkey analysis by BWChart isn't solid evidence, it is still backed up by the other circumstantial evidence that we have gathered.
This is - in my humble oppinion as someone who really do not care if koN is in the tournament or is not - enough proof to make a fair judgement and saying that the accusation of Buu is very likely (99,999%) true. This is as close to be proven as possible in an online enviroment. Hence I personally approve by the ruling of "judge" Live.SworD and think advancing Buu and disqualfying koN is the correct thing to do to maintain a fair enviroment in the whole scene.

As mentioned before, the evidence that has been provided is sufficient. Also, i am aware of the additional evidence, it was 100%. Confirming a (former) member of my clan was cheating is not exactly my favorite thing in the world.
