Recently I made a 4 corner spawn map for a European 1vs1 tournament and they really liked playing on a map built specifically for 1vs1 without all the spot-abuse possibilities.
I made two versions. One is almost the same at the standard map with the only changes being slightly larger corner choke sizes, corner only spawns and the ability to horizontally shoot over the space with tanks to help fight against corner turtling. This version is called SCW 22 - 1VS1(4).
Version two, which is purely experimental, has korean style mid spawn gas and mineral lay-out so that all the gas can be used instead of only the 5 not placed against the map edge. This version is called SCW 22 - 1VS1(4) V2. See pictures for examples of the changes:

4 corner spawn map actually makes turtling less likely. Only 3 other chokes to scout = easier to rush before a choke can be put up. You need to add some creep at the choke to aide Zerg or they have no chance.

That's an Idea I'll test out. So far though, in the European tournament choking wasn't more difficult for the Zergs. Rushing a choke from corner to corner is a little bit more difficult than Mid to Corner or corner to mid. The extra traveling time should allow a zerg to get the hatch up and the lings out in time.

Seems interesting,i have alot of theories and ideas of how things are going to turn out but the best way to find out is to try.i still voted no because i like the idea of a mid spot good players will find a way to get throught this obstacle and win :).i like the challenge.

I tried reporting a 1v1 scw match on the 4 corner spawn version and it did not work. You're saying it's not accepting league matches on this map??

The Hippie You have to download the map from the link that I am giving, only those maps can be uploaded to the scw 22 league. The maps put by premier in the first post are not linked to the league.
