Rank 1 gets a first round bye. Rank 2 and 3 don't. This way Rank 1 is still the most important. If we were to have a top 4 finals I'd go for 4 vs 3, winner vs 2, winner vs 1. Downside of this is that it might prove to be difficult to get all games in with 4 people, who could potentially be from the most extreme of time zones, given that all series will be Bo7. I am personally open for both options. It would come down to what people want. EXAMPLE:

It is sad for rank 2 to play vs rank 3 and lose .
Its eithet you make final four or only bo7 between rank 1 and 2

Season 5 will definitely feature a "top 3 finals". I've gone over the details with Sword last week and polled opinions. Consensus is it is best for the competitive spirit. It is a counter measure to end of season dodging and "bashing lower ranks". Rank 3 plays rank 2 and the winner plays rank 1. The winner of that series becomes the season winner. Each will be Best of 7. This way we maintain the importance of rank 1 while also adding value to rank 2 and 3. I initially wanted to push a Top 3 finals for season 4 but we felt it was a little too close the to end of the season to implement it.

It is in fact very difficult to set up a time-window within which Koreans can play western Canadians. There is a 13 to 15 hours time zone difference. It is an issue I encountered last year while trying to set-up matches for my tournament.

I stopped watching after a few games. PvP is even more boring than PvT in my opinion
Their PvP is extremely different from ours. no choke, no cans on mid, no cans in enemy base and non-stop aggression and extremely intense and good unit control from Brain.

Some games are nice. Brain for the most part destroys Rabbit in every game. They just switch PvT and TvP every game so gets boring. Would've much rather seen them go RvR and not know what they are going up against. All they both do is midbuild every game. Rabbits carrier play is some of the worst I've ever seen. Their map isn't very balanced with that ledge to upload units on to.
last 6 or 7 games are pvp iirc. And ye RvR would have been fun.

By the way Matt, just want to let you know I won't do anything with your private information. It was pretty easy finding out your address, phone number and other info. But I respect your right to have some privacy in your life. Just know that there can be consequences to your actions online because not everyone is willing to have a sense of equity. Some of the stuff you have said online is considered hate speech in Canada these days and can, to the extent you have been commited to it, lead to criminal punishment if someone decides to pull through. And now that people have the required information to pull through you should think twice about your actions.
