When?

• Season ends July 29, 23:59:59/11:59:59 PM website time(GMT-4). Playoffs officially start August 3 at 2:00 PM/14:00 Website time(GMT-4). Players can play their matches before this date if their opponent is online. The playoffs start officially on August 3 because of the different time zones players are in.

Prizes

• 1st place reward = $600
• 2nd place reward = $250
• 3rd place reward = $100

Bracket information

• Top 8 ranks are seeded in playoffs.
• Playoffs Bracket. Click "here" for Example with info.
• All sets are Best of 7. Main bracket winner has to win one Bo9 set in grand final to win tournament. If Losers final winner wins Bo9 in Grand final, the score resets to zero. The Grand finalists will then have to play a Bo7 to determine the winner

• All matches are RANDOM vs RANDOM, unless both players agree it is oke to pick.
• Leaving at the start, unless it can be proven your opponent picked a race without an agreement, or started while you were "away from keyboard", will results in a loss.
• Disconnecting will result in a loss, unless it can be proven in the replay that you were winning up until the point of disconnection. Players are to provide evidence or a witness that their enemy disconnected. Make a screenshot of your opponent disconnecting.
• NO MIND CONTROL ON WORKERS
• NO HARD BM ON THE PLAYOFF THREADS. SOFT BM IS ALLOWED.
• Report and upload matches in the report thread.

 ANNOUNCEMENT: We are moving the tournament to the weekend (June 8-10). Tournament starts when both Jose./Zerg- and Spirits can be online at the same time. Please post in this thread at what time you can be online. Please use website time.

• At the conclusion of the season (3rd of June), the top four 1vs1 ranks are seeded according to their rank into the play-off bracket. This means that if someone has two accounts in the top 4, they will get seeded twice. If the person has to play him/herself, one of the two accounts will proceed to the next round.
• There are three rounds. In round one Rank 4 plays versus rank 3 in a Best of 5. In round two the winner of round one plays versus rank 2 in a best of 5. The winner of round two plays versus rank 1 the finals in a best of 7 to determine the winner.
• All matches will be played on the SCW 5 2.0 map or the regular SCW 5 map. (See attachments)
• All matches will be Random vs Random unless the players agree on a mirror match-up.
• Leaving at the start, unless it can be proven your opponent picked a race without an agreement, will results in a loss.

Can you please add this game? We had really bad lagg so we saved and remade the game. But the system can't determine the teams as a result of it.

Based on feedback, we at www.Starcraftworld.net have decided to introduce a "Top 4 play-offs" format to determine the true winner of the SCW season 5 1vs1 ladder! No more dodging to avoid losing points and no more bashing of lower ranks to win. Instead the top four players will, at the end of the season, be seeded according to their ranks on the 1vs1 ladder and fight to be called the champion!

Now you might wonder if this seems unfair to ranks 1 and 2, but we have found a solution for that. In order to ensure that rank 1 remains more important than rank 2, and rank 2 more important than rank 3 and so forth, we have decided for the following format.

Rank 4 plays Rank 3 in a "best of 5" series in the first round of the play-offs. The winner proceeds to the second round and will play a "best of 5" series against rank 2. The winner of this series will then proceed to play against Rank 1 in a "best of 7" series to determine the definitive champion of the season. An example of the bracket can be found at the bottom of the post. All matches will be Random vs Random and can be played on either the standard SCW 5 map or the 2.0 map. 

A couple days before the end of the season I will open a thread with the relevant details, rules and instructions that the participants will have to follow. Until then, stay tuned and play your hearts out to earn your spot in the play-offs!

I like Starcraft and seeing it lack activity leaves a bad taste. We have a pretty dedicated core group that comes back every single season and plays a significant amount of matches. Kudos and respect to you. But having just a core group that's mostly occupied with individuals trying to out-do eachother when it comes to being an asshole isn't exactly an environment that facilitates growth. Part of the reason I rather quickly gave up injecting money into the UGL was because half of the people participating were just too much of an asshole. Why would I spent my money on people who care more about bullying and being assholes than try to help keep the game they love and play more than I do alive.

However, just like how the people running SCW haven't given up I feel I should give it another shot. Over the previous year I've had a lot of luck financially and I can afford to inject some time and money into Ideas people have that could help improve activity. Please  tell me about your thoughts and/or ideas.
