SCW season 6 will start on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 12:00 PM EST. For the 1v1 winner, there will be playoffs similar to last season's, but will be much bigger and include the top 8 players (with the players on top of the ladder having a proportionate headstart in the brackets as before). The prize pool right now for the winner is $520, if anyone is charitable enough to donate we can get this even higher.

Initially, I saved the maps incorrectly, resulting in the regular SCW5 map being un-uploadable, and both SCW and SCW5 2.0 had the wrong description. This has been corrected. Please re-download the maps and use these for future games; if you have already played any games on the bad maps, post them here and I can add them manually.

Season 5 will start on Saturday April 28, 12:00 PM EST. Prize money will be $100 for 1v1 winner and $50 for 2v2 winner. It will be a Brood War season.

Season 4 will start a week from now, February 24th at 12:00 PM EST. It will be a Brood War season. Prize money will be determined sometime before season start.

We have all seen this site at least once in the past, and some of us may have also been frustrated at how outdated it is. It appears pretty high on the list on search engines, easily the first result from terms such as "StarCraft fastest map", "StarCraft FMP", or even "StarCraft Fastest". There are probably still a lot of people hitting this website, oblivious to where the last remaining outpost of FMP activity actually resides - SCW. The website is here: http://www.starcraftfastest.comI've bought the domain from the old owner, so I now have full control over the website. I thought about having it simply redirect to SCW, but I want to preserve the original content of the site. Unfortunately, it seems that the owner has made use of Google's mechanism allowing the website index to be moved; now, whenever one performs the aforementioned searches, the very top result leads them to new location of the site: http://researchedworks.com/starcraft-fastest-mapNevertheless, the original address still remains high in the list, plus the domain is an easy hit. I'm going to be updating the content with modern information, especially the location of SCW. Hopefully it will help keep things alive. Also, I hope the original owner doesn't mind me putting up a copy of his old website - I had no contact with him throughout this process, so I have no idea what his thoughts are on this. I don't want to take any credit for any of the work behind the site, nor do I want to tear down a site that has a lot of good information - my only goal was to update the content of the website (I couldn't stand descriptions of old leagues and channels as though they were the present, so high on search engines!) If you are the original owner of the domain and you are reading this, please feel free to send me a private message here if you have any thoughts or concerns regarding the website. Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping me polish the website, let me know. Also, stay tuned for season 4, whose start date will be posted within the next few days.

The last tournament failed because at least 4 people who signed up either explicitly bailed or didn't show up. In hindsight it was a bad time for many.. I want to reschedule a tournament for Saturday, around 11 AM EST. This would be 1 AM in Korean, and 5 PM in Germany. Not going to commit to any time until I find out what works though. It would be helpful if anyone who has an interest in tournaments in the near future would reply here whether this is a good time, and if not, what time would be better. I'd like another shot at this...

I will be hosting a 1v1 tournament on Sunday, 1/21/2018. The tentative time is 7 PM US Eastern Time, but if too many people who would otherwise want to participate are unavailable at that time, it can be rescheduled. The tournament will be on Brood War, and the prize money will be $200 for the winner. The finals will be Bo5, all other matches will be Bo3.

I've added Fainer's 2.0 map as a second allowed map for the league. It's available for download on the join league page. Thanks Fainer for working on this.
Unfortunately the second Korean ladder will not yet be available this season, because I don't know of many players that I know would participate. Also, translating the site to Korean is still an in-progress.
The $300 that you see in the prize pool will be awarded to the #1 winner of season 3's 1v1 ladder. Good luck.

Season 3 will start on Saturday, Dec 23, 12:00 PM US Eastern Time. The season will be a StarCraft Original season (as many have been requesting). No Brood War games will be accepted. However, I'll be hosting at least two tournaments during the season, both of which will be Brood War-only tournaments, featuring prize money.
I am also looking towards implementing a second ladder that will be on Brood War and will use the Styler 5.0 map. I will probably need volunteers to translate things into Korean, and help regarding informing members of the Korean community of this ladder.
There will be prize money for both ladders, the details of which will be released when the season starts

Patch 1.21.0 has introduced a new replay format. Until this new file format is reverse engineered, no replays will be uploadable. The time for this is unknown; it could be anywhere from an hour to weeks or months.
Since the season is set to end in 3 days, I'll add manually any games that are played until then. Please attach them to this post. There might be considerable delay in me adding the replays, but they will all be accounted for before winners are declared.
