Your imagination is wild. 95% of the league are South Americans who don’t donate and likely don’t read English well enough to give two shits about these conversations. The Korean players will always play if the prize pool is high enough (you saw this last season) but when did they ever donate? The fact is that those who would donate simply don’t care about this game.
well, I can't speak for many others, but I do know some who have donated and stopped because of the toxicity. I have donated and stopped because of it. I have since instead spent about $19,000,- on helping finance Professional daily Proleagues in Korea, purely for my own enjoyment. They are thankful and respectful for it too. I love this game, and knowing some other korean donators to Professional daily proleagues, I can guarantee you there's fellow wealthy folks out there who love the game more than I do and they have already donated well over $200,000,- individually to keep the korean pro scene alive and thriving. Just because you personally don't know anyone because you're living in a small bubble does not mean there's no people who love spending spare change on this game.
Take a look at the chinese community for example. They run sponsored BGH, FME, and Low money(with pros) games everyday and they pay handsomely too.
This past season SCW had a large prize pool and a few Koreans joined and are now still playing SCW, even with the much smaller prize pool. Ank also organized 3vs3 Show Matches to connect with specifically By clan, which brought over Scv, Gun, and Choi. Jooseung is also from By_. I am sure there's more who would be willing to come over and try the map or SCW if we incentivize more to come over. Ank specifically is doing a GREAT job at this.

Your reading comprehension is actually terrible. I said I know some who have donated over 200k. I said I have donated give or take 19k. You do know that korean daily proleague donation prize pools collect anywhere from 4k to 20k usd a day right?

I imagine the league misses out on hundreds of $ of donationa a season because of alienation of a group of players who would otherwise feel welcome here. the way some of you guys have treated multiple donors has been nothing short of self sabotage. Most people who can afford to miss out on a few hundred bucks a month are not the kind of people to waste their time within a toxic environment. Just like how you dont go back to shop at a store where they treat you poorly. Just be nice and welcoming. Dont stoop to high school antics and dont be toxic. really quite simple. Be better.

regardless of whether you do some of it or most of it, it does by no means make what you do less pathetic or less bad. One thing is clear, SCW has too many toxic pests that should've been eradicated from this community years ago. It is the reason I stopped donating to the league after sinking a couple hundred into it. Would've been willing to sink a couple thousand into it if not for that.

There's a difference between mutual banter and bringing up people's personal life into the forums. Ive seen multiple people begging to stop being harassed, ive also seen multiple people begging for the banning of x, y and z. Clearly those people aren't having fun.
Most people who I recommend the site to or know about the site end up leaving or completely avoid it because of the constant drama, this has been going on for literally YEARS and there doesn't seem to be any end to it, someone gets mad, they run to the forums and air out all their drama, rinse and repeat. It's a telenovela on here, and most people want no part in it, they want to be a part of a SC community but the toxicity turns them away and ive heard this from at least 20+ people and they say the same thing without neither of them having any relationship with each other.
I understand the behavior to some extent, people get pissed off at each other, but for 5+ years the same 2 dudes going at each other over and over and over, literally every single season? Just reading it is exhausting idk how you guys can live this way, i can't imagine it being healthy and I don't know anybody who has a healthy IRL life that finds the behavior "fun".
its just bullies who come on here to bully because that's all they ever did outside of the internet too. only bullies like bullies. nobody else like them. and half of them are drug addicts or alcoholics. heck I've seen most of them openly talk about it over the years in the channels. get a grip on your life please.

This has to be Premier- crying, something always about the map. Change the map and the league wouldn’t even make it a full season.
I don't exactly see how my post is "crying" ? Open any thread on this website and its 2-10 people fighting each other. It's off putting.

I genuinely don’t understand why playing on a fair and balanced map hasn’t become mandatory, and why this league continues to use the same map over and over again.
We have all just witnessed that, no matter how skilled a player or team is, this map can create situations where certain games are practically impossible to win. At that point, the outcome is influenced far too much by the map rather than by skill, strategy, and performance.
I would personally be more than happy to contribute financially on a monthly basis to support the league, but I would like to see meaningful changes regarding the map and the rules. If those changes are made and the competition becomes fairer and better organized, I will gladly contribute every month.

it is a valid critique regardless of one's contribution. The map is imbalanced. That is objectively a truth. There are numerous players who decide against contributing because the map used is imbalanced, and because most of the community in SCW is extremely toxic. You enter the website and walk into a cesspool of toxicity. This league is one of the least inviting leagues in existence across almost all games across the entire board of games played competitively in the world. Now to counter argue against my own comments, if someone cared enough about the map and the toxicity they could organize another league on their preferred map. This league does not have to change and is within its right to remain as it is. We can't demand for it to change if it functions as it is. Can things improve? certainly. Does it have to? no. Is it in the best interest of the league to not implement any changes(doesn't have to be map related)? you decide, and time will tell. Also a lot of koreans who are legitimately good on USWEST stick to public noob bashing games because they don't have the balls to play competitively. You'll never get these to join.

In all honesty, at this point you just eliminate Evil.
It is not hard to check in with the website and the tournament on a daily basis. It takes less than 30 seconds to grab your phone and go to the website, no matter how busy you are. It is also for a couple hundred bucks, so its not exactly like it would be for nothing to check in and communicate.
Takes 30 seconds. Not showing up should either be because of medical emergencies or because a person just doesn't want to pay their respects to the others involved.

Western map you can play on a 4 corner spawn map with slightly bigger choke similar to the Korean map.
One of the biggest issues on SCW standard map is the choke size of corners being too small and the 12 and 6 base chokes being TWICE AS WIDE as any other choke despite ALSO being the smallest bases in terms of size while ALSO being spot abusable most easily. 12 and 6 are terrible bases in every way.
