Proposal regarding the SCW channel
« on: December 17, 2025, 09:34:38 am »

Hello everyone, I’d like to share an idea.

The SCW league aims to keep growing and attract more players, but currently the main meeting point is /j op ugl, a channel that many players — especially Korean players — are not aware of. Although several of them have heard about the league, when connecting to US West they usually search for channels like scw, scw-, or op scw-, without finding them.

Wouldn’t it make sense to use the league name itself (SCW) as the main channel, in order to make it easier for new players to join and to better integrate the international community?

Here you can clearly see how Korean players search for these channels without success.

Hosting on Op SCW would certainly make sense; however, the bot we currently use is generously run by Islanti at no cost and is integrated with the league through his custom coding. Unfortunately, we do not have a direct way to reach him to make changes at this time, so we continue to use Op UGL. Additionally, many Korean players are already familiar with our hosting location, which is clearly displayed on our website banner and on the league page next to the three Wraiths.

Thank you for the suggestion, we do appreciate the feedback.
