Question about Supermap vs Traditional Fastest

So "super map" is slowly growing on me but I've always wondered- Why do all the koreans prefer super map or bbalmu or whatever it's called? I went on the Korean ladder today because no one was on this morning on west, and its literally the only version of fastest they play.

What are the "benefits" vs the regular one?

look at the middle spots, they are way more balanced (in terms of reacting to drops, also the size of the chokes)

That makes sense. Why not stack the gas closer on the wall though?

hi, it is not possible to do so because with stacked gas like ugl, protoss and terran workers cant mine
