There r no such settings.  Standard 8 player super map works same as all other maps...

Btw..who complained about 8ppl supermap we had when season started....1v1s r meant to be played on 8ppl super...6 ppl checker super map is for 3v3..

I thought fmp community has embraced imbalance and adapted to overcome the disadvantage. 
In the end, both players should have the same probability of getting certain race and position in rvr...the better player will prevail eventually.  Complaints on balance issue sound like excuses.
Both players r playing on equal grounds

They aren't excuses though. Everybody knows how terrible mid spots can be. It's a death sentence right off the bat. Either win early game or get harassed to death mid-late game.

It creates a sense of urgency whenever you realized you are in a mid spot.

Are you positive?

I remember not to long ago being in a game in korean fastest and some dude pinged locations outside the center, it was 3v3, i asked if he map hacked and he replied with something like " corners fill up first in this map ".

Again, I haven't tested it. Guess i will later today or tomorrow.

6 ppl checker maps have 6 and 12 spots empty

Honestly...space and super map are no different for newbs like myself...i hear ppl claiming super is more balanced than space but im sure toss is still favored and cross spots has disadvantages on super map

maybe. just seeing a lot of talk about drops in mid bases, and editing map to lower mins, but the super already has the mins in the middle of the mid bases. :]

Of course Toss is favored on fastmap / super map.

At the beginning economically, because probes does not need to stay to build (we get peon very quickly and there is no saturation on minerals).
Then because temps drops is economically (again) very/too powerful .

I think everyone knows fastmap is not balanced but they still enjoy playing it !
