Unified Theory of korean players
« on: June 23, 2022, 02:03:14 am »
so I - the great grandmaster Proletius watched a bunch of reps from those korean ppl who played in early seasons of SCW and I've come to the conclusion they weren't actually good at FMP they just had really high APM. Guys like Taeng`k and Afreeca_Brain. thoughts?

I agree with Joe. Since the Koreans have come, there's been an adaptation and evolution on how fmp is now played. I feel like everyone has almost perfected the old "vgt" strat style and the Koreans showed us how flawed it can be. Now there aren't many noobs and gamers are adopting more and more away from the standard strats as they are too predictable. Easy to scout a triple nex p, easier to stop a tvz push when you know it's coming etc. Now there are more effective high apm required strats that are much more difficult to play against and require a higher level of pressure dealing.

Good micro and good macro. If you watch their games closely, they are almost always ahead in worker count and unit count while microing better
