i don't like too many canons, but I don't think adding a rule makes sense
koreans can still crush on this map, regardless of the rules, using speedling or aggressive marines, beating most canon heavy strats
I think aggressive play can still beat canons, its just that most people don't have the skill. The answer isn't to change the rules, but to keep the rules and allow for skill to compensate. The highest tier players are not consistently abusing canons early
changing the rules makes too many things difficult. When is a canon considered "not at the choke"? How many canons can PT make in the middle of the map? Can you add more canons if you close someone else, and not yourself? Can PZ no longer use "protect" build if they spawn next to each other?
Certain things are imbalanced, like PT next to each other who turtle, but that's just part of the luck of the draw on this map unfortunately. i think more problems arise from solving this with rules rather than gameplay adjustments. And even though many people say they like the rule change and would "come back", I doubt they would really come back and be "active". Canons alone don't make someone active or not...
